Benefits of my classes

My classes are intended to help you improve your technique and self-awareness about breathing, different postures, and movements in all the activities you do in your daily life. You will experience more flow and efficiency with your body.

Group Mat Classes

$20 per class or 8 classes for $150
(8-class ticket valid for 12 weeks )

Mat Pilates consists in performing all movements on the floor using a Pilates  Mat. Joseph Pilates originally referred to it as the art and science of “Contrology”.  

It consists of  low impact  movements using your own body weight,  Pilates Matwork uses  basic Pilates Equipment such as; Pilates Resistance Bands, Magic Circles, Dumbbells, Overball, Sticks,  Swiss Balls, Foam Rollers and Massage Ball to help the  movement technique, to improve strength, flexibility, blood circulation and body balance.

Pilates Matwork is easy to teach in a group environment, making it more affordable.  It is still very personalized as I am constantly attending to my students individual needs. A great benefit of Pilates Matwork, is that it can be done anywhere.

Reformer Pilates Classes

$33 per class, 8 classes for $240 or 4 classes for $125

Classes are running in a Pilates Studio with Reformer apparatus which  is probably the most famous piece of Pilates equipment. The  frame, called the ‘carriage’, moves around on wheels and is attached to one end by a set of springs, which provides resistance as the platform is moved. There’s also a footbar and long straps, which can be used by the legs and/or arms, for assistance or resistance ,  and shoulder blocks for keeping the organisation of the Head, Neck and Shoulders.

One part of the machine is fixed, and another moves. This facilitates co-contraction at the joints, stimulates mechanoreceptors (muscles, spindle fibres, tendons, and organs), and enhances body awareness.  By pushing or pulling the platform against the spring, you can assist, resist, and control most of the movements.  Using all of the different elements of the Reformer, this can be done lying supine, prone, kneeling, standing, sitting, upside down, etc.

ONLY 4 people per session,  it is a very personalized class. 

Individual Classes

$90 (1 hour)

Individual Pilates classes will be made specifically for you, strengthening your weaknesses and healing your injuries. It concentrates  more on a rehabilitation  programme appropriate and customised  to your own needs. You will use different Pilates apparatus in a Studio  (Reformer, Tower, Combo  Chair, Spine Corrector) to modify the movement that suits your body.

First class will start with a complete posture assessment which is crucial as a starting point to create a Comprehensive Pilates Programme specialised for you.

It takes two approaches:

  • Static posture: This indicates muscle imbalances in your standing posture (long, weak, short or tight), and possible areas to note. 
  • Fitness Screening: This Illustrates any incorrect movement patterns.

 Sessions will end with some exercises and homework.
