A nervous beginning

As a complete beginner I was nervous about trying pilates, but thought it would help me recover from an injury. Claudia is an amazing instructor, so friendly and knowledgeable, and I love how each class is different and tailored to individual needs. Now I feel stronger and more flexible and I look forward to every class!

fun and enjoyable

I have been going to Pilate’s with Claudia for the past 5 years, most of it mat work but more recently with Reformers in her home studio. Claudia puts a lot of thought into ensuring she plans classes that are interesting and varied and no two weeks are the same. 

I highly recommend Claudia’s classes as a fun and enjoyable way to practice Pilate’s.

improved flexibility

In 2019 we moved to Omokoroa and I started with Claudia (Clau Pilates) at the Settlers Hall. All I had done previously was nothing compared to the way Claudia teaches Pilates – she is an awesome instructor! Since joining Claudia’s Mat and Reformer workouts, I no longer have any lower back pain or experience any stiffness from a fractured femur (the result of a car accident); my flexibility has improved tremendously and I have energy to spare. Mat Classes include working with: foam rollers, Swiss balls, hand weights, Thera bands plus arm “push/pull” bars. Claudia’s Reformer sessions are similar yet very different to Mat due to the equipment. I have found that (for me) Reformer is a more intense dynamic workout as resistance is added via the use of springs and weights which form part of the machine. This mixture means I never feel bored or unchallenged during my time in her classes.

interesting classes

I enjoy Claudia’s Pilates classes especially her reformer class. The classes are always interesting, using different equipment, focusing on different muscles in the body and on different parts of the body each time.
To me Pilates is the “thinking man’s exercise”. It concentrates on those often forgotten muscles  ( the core body ) that are so instrumental in keeping the body upright, mobile and in working condition .
I always feel so much more alive after a class.

Bright, bubbly and caring

I love attending Claudia’s  classes. She is a positive, bright, bubbly, and caring person .
I have been attending her mat classes for several years. Each week is different to the last utilising a variety of equipment and a range of exercises.  Her teaching is excellent as she moves around corrects your posture and alignment throughout the class if necessary giving good feedback to each person.
 
I can feel the benefits of improved core strength and flexibility.
 
I have recently joined her reformer class.  This has taken it to a new level really improving balance, strengthening core, back, glutes and thighs (especially good for me as I have knee problems) These classes require increased focus and coordination so provide a brilliant workout leaving you feeling a great sense of achievement.
